Lilia Factor
Lilia Factor was appointed to Chair the Environmental Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association for the 2011 – 2012 term. She was born in Leningrad, USSR, and immigrated to New York with her family when she was a child She started her undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York, then moved to Israel and continued her studies at Haifa University, where she majored in Middle East History. Lilia received her B.A. in English from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, in 1991. She returned to Israel and worked as an English teacher before entering law school at Haifa University. She completed her law degree (LL.B.) in 1996 and was admitted to the Israeli Bar. Lilia then worked for law firms in Israel in various fields, including real estate and civil litigation. Between 1999 and 2002, she ran her own law practice, focusing on real estate, employment, personal injury, and German reparations.
Lilia returned to the United States in 2002 and studied law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating with an LL.M. degree (magna cum laude). She then moved to New York and was admitted to the New York State Bar. Since 2004, working with Fred Eisenbud, Lilia has focused her practice on environmental law and civil litigation. She is glad to be part of this well-established and client-friendly practice at the forefront of the important and growing field of environmental law.
Lilia is fluent in Russian and Hebrew. She resides with her family in Massapequa Park.
